Practical Support for the Future
of Food and Economy
Since 2022, Octo Force Group has been actively building a collaborative framework with the Government of Mongolia. In alignment with Mongolia’s national strategies of improving food self-sufficiency and advancing food processing technologies, we are leveraging our extensive expertise in food processing and distribution accumulated in Japan to provide practical support and establish partnerships on the ground.
● Background and Purpose of the Partnership
This initiative was launched at the invitation of Mr. Bayarsaikhan Banzragch, Ambassador of Mongolia to Japan.
In August 2022, five of our executives visited Ulaanbaatar and Bulgan Province. Through discussions with government officials, we reached an agreement to establish a mutually complementary collaboration framework that aligns Mongolia’s “Food Revolution” policy with Japan’s advanced processing technologies and distribution expertise. Since then, we have been promoting private-sector partnerships, including technology transfer support from Japanese companies and capital participation by Mongolian entities in Japanese food processing firms, thereby building a practical and beneficial partnership for both Japan and Mongolia.
● Activities on the ground and Achievements
In September of the same year, our company revisited Mongolia to conduct on-site research of nomadic herders, farmers, and food markets. During a meeting with Presidential Advisor Davaabayar Chimidorj, we confirmed a collaborative approach toward developing food processing and distribution infrastructure as a national project. Additionally, in Japan, we hosted Mongolian government officials at Torizen Foods Co., Ltd.’s Itoshima plant and processing facilities in Karatsu, showcasing Japan’s high-quality meat processing and logistics systems. This initiative has been highly praised as a significant first step toward local market expansion.
● Ongoing Developments
This project aims to serve as a model for global business development that operates on both policy and operational levels, rather than merely providing advisory support, setting a new standard for overseas collaboration in the food sector. Moving forward, we will continue to provide comprehensive support through multifaceted schemes encompassing processing technologies, investment, and distribution infrastructure.
