President & CEO

Akira Tanaka

In 1991, he joined the Japan Development Bank (now Development Bank of Japan Inc.). After assignments in the Head Office Urban Development Department, Fukuoka Branch (now Kyushu Branch), Head Office Credit Department, Head Office Human Resources Department, study abroad at a U.S. business school, and the Head Office International Department (including at its Singapore Office), served as Manager of the Head Office Corporate Strategy Department for eight years, leading the establishment and business of the bank’s first M&A advisory division.

In 2006, he joined Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. As Executive Director, where he was responsible for corporate MBO and LBO financing, with a focus on real estate securitization loans as the exit strategy.

In 2008, he joined Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC. As a Partner in the Financial Advisory Services division (Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory Co., Ltd.), he led the restructuring of its M&A advisory business.

In 2014, he founded Octo Force Group with eight members, to create value enhancement frameworks for operational assets in food and hospitality, infrastructure, and consumer goods sectors.

Director

Norimasa Izumo

  • COO
  • At FXCM Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of one of the world’s largest FX trading firms, he worked as a strategist specializing in G8 currencies. He then relocated to Singapore to serve as a Japanese equity analyst at a hedge fund. Upon returning to Japan, he joined SBI Asset Management as a fund manager, overseeing a broad range of asset classes from active Japanese equity strategies to alternative investments. Most recently, he was engaged at Central Tanshi Corporation, focusing on the structuring and distribution of funds targeted at proprietary trading divisions within domestic financial institutions. In 2023, he joined Monolith Holdings as Chief Advisory Officer.

  • Masato Kikitani

    Business Division Manager
  • At Prime Link (now JFLA Holdings Corporation), he served as manager of izakaya outlets, direct store manager, and franchise supervisor before being appointed as a director at NAOC, where he led the restructuring of five directly operated stores and the e-commerce business.

  • Mark Bedingham

  • Director
  • Appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of SMI Vantage, a Singapore Exchange listed company in January 2015. He graduated from Oxford University and began his career with Jardine Matheson and was appointed as a Director of Jardine Pacific. He joined Moët Hennessy (LVMH Group) in the mid 1990s as the Regional Managing Director of APAC.
  • Today, he serves on the Board of The Artisanal Spirits Company (ASC), a company listed on AIM of the London Stock Exchange which is a specialist bottler of cask strength single malt whisky. He was also the Vice Chairman of Aspirational Consumer Lifestyle Corp, a NYSE listed SPAC that successfully achieved business combination with the world’s largest private aviation company in 2021. He has also served as an Executive Chairman of two hospitality companies, Crystal Jade and CE LA VI.

  • Mitsutaka Iida

  • Director
  • Joined Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. in 1981, specializing in overseas production technology with a focus on Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia. In 1994, joined Fukoku Co., Ltd., where he was responsible for expanding overseas operations. During his 17-year tenure, he established more than five production sites and management companies. In 2004, he received the Thai Prime Minister’s Award, recognizing outstanding business leadership in Thailand. In 2012, he joined Koukando Co., Ltd., Japan’s oldest pharmaceutical company, as COO. In 2015, he founded a consulting firm providing advisory services to Japanese investors planning business expansion in Thailand’s food, medical, and healthcare sectors.
  • In addition to his business activities, he has been actively involved in social contribution efforts, serving as a former District Governor of International Rotary, overseeing all of Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and 14 provinces in Thailand.

  • Ron Queda

  • Director
  • He is a former Principal (partner) in the Tokyo office of ZS Associates, a global management consulting firm, where he helped clients, primarily multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies, develop deeper customer understanding and improve commercial performance through effective use of data, analytics and technology. He joined ZS in 1998 out of business school and worked with clients in North America out of offices in Chicago, New York and Pune, India before moving to Tokyo in 2007 to focus on the Japan market. Prior to business school, he worked for 13 years as a lead mechanical and thermal engineer on several NASA satellite and spacecraft programs.

  • Tadayuki Kyotani

  • In 1991, at the age of 29, he founded PMT Corporation in Fukuoka. Centering on “Kido-ryoku®” as the core competence, the company has engaged in product design, development, and research in alliance with corporations, universities, and national research institutions. After numerous improvement and planning proposals within semiconductor factories, PMT established its “ultra-precision axis control technology,” which enables nano-level positioning based on expertise cultivated through precision molds and ceramic jigs. Recently, the company has expanded its business scope into robotics systems and the life sciences sector.

    Yoshifumi To

  • After holding positions in store development and product development at Five Foxes Co., Ltd., he joined Mitsui & Co., Ltd., where he managed production control and factory development primarily in Asia, while also overseeing comprehensive merchandising duties and overseas procurement for major apparel companies. Subsequently, he moved to Itokin Co., Ltd., serving as General Manager of the Brand Division, where he was responsible for all aspects of brand management, including MD planning, marketing, product planning, and promotional strategy.
    He joined our company in 2015.

The company specializes in store opening support, import/export agency services, supervisory and management operations, and consulting for the food and beverage industry.

  • Takuya Ogaki

  • Before joining Octo Force, he was engaged in sales primarily in the Kyushu region at EH Corporation. Subsequently worked as a store staff at Kawaya Tokyo Co., Ltd., a group company at the time. He was then seconded to Daiichi Foods Co., Ltd., where he was involved in the opening of three directly managed stores of Kawaya in the Hokuriku region. He then transferred to Octo Force headquarters in 2020, taking charge of B2B sales.

  • Minako Iwai

    General Manager, Marketing Division
  • At Hakuhodo Inc., engaged in strategy design and planning within the marketing and promotion domain. Responsible for developing clients’ marketing strategies and proposing communication plans.
    Since becoming independent, has supported business strategy and marketing strategy design primarily for B2B companies. Specializes in Go-to-Market strategy development based on market structure, customer insights, and competitive environment, and is involved in messaging design, sales story development, proposal material creation, and PoC support.

    Keigo Ogura

  • Passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination in 1996. After gaining experience at a major auditing firm, a corporate venture capital’s investment division, and a consulting firm, established Ogura CPA Office in 2002.

  • Masato Nishigishi

  • He started his career at the Ministry of Labor (now the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) in 1981. Throughout his career, he was involved in labor policy at both the central government and regional offices (Fukushima, Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo), and also served in the Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Finance, Fukuoka Prefectural Government, and related independent administrative agencies. He retired in 2015 after serving as Director of the Tokyo Labour Bureau. Subsequently, he worked as an advisor to Nippon Life Insurance Company (2015–2018), focusing on labor issues, and as Director and Head of the Training Support Department at the International Human Resources Development Organization (2018–2024), addressing matters related to the acceptance of foreign workers under the Technical Intern Training Program and the Specified Skilled Worker Program.
    He joined our company in August 2024.

  • Masaaki Teraoka

  • Joined Hiroshima Bank in 1978. After working at branch offices, he then worked at the bank’s Tokyo Planning Division, and as Manager in charge of the Ministry of Finance liaison and led corporate restructuring support operations as Manager and Credit Officer in the Loan Department. Subsequently, he was responsible for corporate credit rating assessments in the Risk Management Department and participated in establishing the Loan Planning Department. After leaving Hiroshima Bank, he founded FTS Co., Ltd., leveraging his experience in human resource development. He has also conducted numerous training sessions and lectures commissioned by Kinzai Institute for Financial Affairs, Inc., regional banks, credit unions, and others.
    He joined our company in 2017.

  • Naoki Sakai

  • Joined Tokyo Electric Power Company in 1987, where he was responsible for developing the company’s human resources strategy in the HR department. In 2000, he transferred to the Asian Development Bank (headquartered in Manila), where he managed infrastructure financing for developing countries in Asia until 2017. After leaving the bank in 2017, he co-founded Power Sharing Inc. with two team members.

  • Yoshiki Hamasaki

  • After working at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, he joined IR Japan Co., Ltd. (now IR Japan Holdings Co., Ltd.). As General Manager of the Corporate Planning Office, he led the company’s IPO and executed Japan’s first commitment-type rights offering. In his role overseeing the IR/SR Consulting Division, he spearheaded proxy advisory services related to hostile takeover defenses and proxy fights, M&A advisory services, and corporate governance consulting based on board evaluations. In 2016, he joined PMT Co., Ltd., where he planned and implemented initiatives including the redesign of personnel evaluation systems and organizational restructuring, succession M&A for artisans and advanced technologies, and business and capital alliances with startup companies. He joined our company in 2021.
